Nature’s Embrace Forest Adventures

After School Nature Program | Ages 5–12 | North Vancouver

Where curiosity, adventure, and nature meet

In today’s fast-paced, technology-driven world, children need time to slow down, breathe, and unplug. At Nature’s Embrace, we offer children the space to notice the rustle of leaves, watch clouds move, and simply be.

We believe in the power of nature to nurture resilience, confidence, and a sense of wonder in every child. Our program supports learning in, with, and from the land, helping children develop a deep sense of place and responsibility through meaningful connections with nature.

Why Nature Matters

Time in nature is more than just play—it is forest therapy for children. Studies show time outdoors:

🌿 Reduces stress and anxiety
🌿 Improves focus and emotional regulation
🌿 Supports physical health and immune function
🌿 Boosts creativity and problem-solving skills

At Nature’s Embrace, we provide the space and time to slow down, allowing children to reconnect with themselves and the natural world, building foundations for lifelong well-being and stewardship.

Our Team

Your child will be guided by qualified teachers, early childhood educators, and nature school educators with over 30 years of combined experience. All educators are certified in first aid and emergency response, ensuring a safe, caring, and enriching environment for every learner.

Our Approach

We:

🌲 Honour the land and its stories, fostering respect and stewardship.
🌲 Recognize the rights of children to explore, play, and learn in nature.
🌲 Support holistic development—social, emotional, physical, and cognitive—through place-based learning.
🌲 Encourage inquiry, connection, and belonging.

“In every walk with nature one receives far more than he seeks.” – John Muir
