  • Take a fresh blade of grass or stem that's about 10-15 cm long
  • Fold in half, making sure the ends are still connected. Hold the folded end between your thumbs and forefingers, with the fold pointing towards your mouth
  • Place your lips around the folded end and blow gently into the gap between the two halves of the blade
  • Adjust the gap by moving your thumbs and forefingers closer or further apart until you hear a clear and consistent whistle sound
